About the Author


Sue is a researcher, writer, and missiologist living in Melbourne, Australia. Originally from the U.K., Sue is interested in researching and strengthening local congregations for mission. The church is in decline in Western nations. Many congregations are shrinking and attendance has become less frequent.

Sue calls Christians to nurture their relationships with God, their inner selves, and with others in the church. This will enable effective mission in daily life as a natural outworking of these nurtured relationships. Her books, “Diffusion: Connecting with God, Self and Others for Missional Living” and “Learning to Love: Utilizing the Principles and Practices of Pastoral Care for Mission” are the result of her research, plus her experiences of mission, including working with three different mission agencies over the years.

Married to Jools, a Baptist pastor, Sue has three adult children.
